Community Spotlight: 14th Annual Walk For Life

On Saturday, September 17, 2011 Paulding Pregnancy Services will hold its annual 2 mile “Walk for Life” fundraising event. This is the 14th year of the walk, and in addition to fund raising, it is also done to increase awareness of PPS and the ministry they do within the community. They received support from several area churches and some local businesses, but there are still many opportunities to “get the word out” about the services they offer.
Paulding Pregnancy Services is a non-profit ministry with a genuine concern for sharing the love of Jesus Christ through words and actions. Dedicated volunteers serve Christ and our community by evangelizing, educating and caring for those who have experienced or who are at risk for an unplanned pregnancy, and without judgment. Events like the “Walk for Life” help PPS gain community awareness so they can continue to offer their services FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.
First Baptist Church of Dallas has graciously hosted the Walk for the last seven years, allowing PPS to use their Fellowship Hall and facilities for the care and comfort of the walkers. They are able to conveniently register walkers as they arrive, distribute T-shirts and cool them down when they return! The partnership PPS has with First Baptist of Dallas has truly been a blessing for them. FBC is located at 401 Main Street, Dallas; a ¼ mile from the old Dallas Court House.
PPS has asked that walkers pre-register in order to get the brochures to solicit sponsors. Participation in the walk is open to all who are seeking an opportunity to be pro-active for the cause of LIFE both “born & unborn.” No graphic pictures or signs will be used.
