Jared McCravy and Kara Pritchard

A young couple in love is a beautiful sight. It was our pleasure to meet Kara and Jared, and we are glad to introduce them to you! They are engaged to be married this upcoming September 25th.

Kara is the daughter of Joe and Michelle Pritchard and has one brother, Josh. Kara has lived in Paulding County her whole life. She was part of South Paulding High School’s first graduating class. Kara spent her first year of college at UGA. Later, she transferred to Kennesaw State to be closer to home so she could start a children’s program at her church. In addition to being a student, Kara works part time at the Ritzy Pixie, substitute teaches and tutors young children.

Kara has recognized her God-given gift for loving children and intends to use it the rest of her life. It is the children’s humor, innocence, honestly and unfailing love that draws her to them. She says, “I for one am a child at heart. Whether it's dressing up as a princess, making a mud pie, or finger painting I'm always having a good time when I'm with the little people.”

Jared is the son of Mark and Barbara Jo McCravy; and has a brother, Jacob, and sister, Sammie Jo. Like Kara, Jared has also lived in Paulding his entire life. He graduated from Paulding County High School and now works as a mechanic at a company called Voith in Austell.

Jared loves working with and restoring old cars and trucks, especially four wheel drives. He and his brother Jacob enjoy going to car shows, mud rides, and to the drag strip. Jared has a 72 red pickup that he set up in high school. They also restored Jacob's 65 Chevrolet, set it up, and painted it lime green. Their trucks are a part of who they are.

Kara and Jared have known of each other their whole lives. Kara jokes and says she was a little afraid of him at first because he was older. Love blossomed in high school, when Jared’s brother, introduce them. They have been together ever since and were recently engaged on their 4th “dating” anniversary.

In addition to attending, New Covenant Fellowship Church, Kara and Jared are very active and love doing things together. They both love to fish. For them, fishing makes life slow down a bit and allows them time to just be together. Kara and Jared are “HUGE GEORGIA” fans and enjoy the football games. They, also, share a love for children. In the future, they hope to open a children’s camp where children can learn and grow, but “most importantly find the Savior that we found as children.”

Kara and Jared are such a precious couple. They’re very down to earth and have much in common. They love to laugh and be together. It’s easy to see these beautiful young people have a heart for God and are perfectly content with who they are. We wish them all the best for their life together.
