Meet the Cusacks
Summer is here, and July 4th is only a few days away. It’s not only the 233rd celebration of our Independence Day, but it marks two very special anniversaries for our cute cover family – Missy, Jeff and Colby Cusack. It was on July 4th that Jeff and Missy met at a concert and fireworks show in Atlanta 10 years ago, and later in 2002, it’s the day they got engaged.
Jeff is a Georgia boy, and was born and raised in Cobb County. He enjoys baseball, racing and is a big Tony Stewart fan. The June before they met, Missy moved to Atlanta from Spartanburg, South Carolina. She had just finished her Master’s Degree at Clemson University, and had taken a job a one of the Universities in Atlanta.
Missy and Jeff were married in April of 2003, and since then they have made Dallas their home. On April 1, 2007, they welcomed their precious boy, Colby, to the family. Together they enjoy playing outside and watching the Braves. Colby has been doing to Tomahawk Chop since he was only one year old. Colby really enjoys baseball and is already practicing like the big boys with his very own batting machine – complete with sound.
Jeff works as the Parts Manager at Walker Cadillac GMC in Carrollton. Missy has recently been named the Director of Admissions for the newly merged Appalachian, North Metro and Chattahoochee Technical Colleges. Beginning July 1, the three colleges will begin operating as the state’s largest technical college. Before taking this new position, Missy served as the Director of Admissions for North Metro Technical College since 2002 and prior to that she worked at Chattahoochee Technical College as an Admissions and Academic Advisor. The newly merged CTC will have 7 locations covering six counties, including the Paulding Campus located in Dallas. This is an exciting time for Missy and she is looking forward to this challenge.
We are so proud to have met Missy, Jeff and Colby. They invited us into their home and even offered us refreshments on an extremely hot day. But, we think you will agree that even with the extreme heat, we were able to capture one of the cutest covers in Our Town history!
Thank you Missy, Jeff and Colby!
